Milk prices protested by dairy producers

Frustration over dismal milk prices led a group of dairy producers to protest in Iowa last week.

The event drew attendees from as far away as New York and Pennsylvania. Event organizers say they want action on Senate Bill 889, reintroduced earlier this year by Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., and Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa. The measure calls for milk prices to be set based on cost of production.
