BRODHEAD, Wis. (AP) — A milk tanker crashed in southern Wisconsin, early Saturday morning spilling thousands of gallons of milk.
Brodhead Police Chief Thomas Moczynski says about 100 gallons of diesel fuel also spilled along with the estimated 3,000 to 4,000 gallons of milk.
Moczynski says the spill has been contained within a block.
Police say the truck driver was heading south on state Highway 11 when he left the roadway and crashed around 4:30 a.m. Saturday. The driver was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The tanker ended up in a yard with serious damage.
The state Department of Natural Resources was among the responders to the scene.
