New Zealand dairies switching to robotic milking

Dairy producers in New Zealand are getting ready to switch to robotic milking systems. In fact, dairy industry on-farm research specialist Dexcel has teamed up with Sensortec to help producers successfully implement robotic milking systems on farm.

Sensortec has been conducting on-farm trials with robotic milking systems since 2001 and is now ready to help New Zealand producers adopt the technology and avoid the problems that many European dairy producers encountered when they switched. The key is to set up a whole farm system for robotic milking — not just switch your current milking equipment for new robots.
