ImmuCell Corporation has received USDA approval for a rapid, on-site test for bovine leukemia virus (BLV).

The Tip-Test: BLV uses the same testing technology as the company’s Tip-Test: Johne’s which was released in December of 1999. BLV is highly prevalent in the U.S. dairy and beef industries and can cause leukosis, a severe and often fatal complication in up to 5 percent of infected animals. The test gives producers a quick way to make an on-farm determination if an animal is infected or not.

ImmuCell Corporation is a biotechnology company dedicated to developing innovative and proprietary products that improve animal health and productivity. To learn more about this new test, ask your veterinarian, or visit ImmuCell’s Web site at: www.ImmuCell.com
