MARYSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A prosecutor says an Ohio dairy farm worker accused of abusing cows in an undercover video is expected to enter a guilty plea in the case.

Marysville City Law Director Tim Aslaner tells The Columbus Dispatch that 25-year-old Billy Joe Gregg Jr. is expected to plead guilty on Sept. 24. It is not clear to what charge Gregg is expected to plea.

Gregg, of Delaware, Ohio, was charged in May with 12 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.

An animal welfare group says video it recorded for an undercover investigation showed Gregg and others beating cows with crowbars and poking them with pitchforks at Conklin Dairy Farms Inc. The farm in Plain City in central Ohio has condemned the footage and says it fired Gregg.

No lawyer for Gregg was listed in online court records.
