Registration is open for the PDPW Annual Business Conference, March 17-18, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
“Adding Passion, Multiplying Profits” is the theme of this two-day conference that features more than 35 world-renowned experts and producer panelists, 18 specialty sessions, multiple producer panels with the excellent firsthand advice and unlimited networking opportunities.
Along with all new speakers and all new sessions, this year’s conference will feature a new conference layout and a fun Tuesday evening program featuring a former Green Bay Packer.
One of the many dynamic speakers who will share insight is Mark Pearson. Pearson is the host of the nationally syndicated public television program “Market to Market” and the highly successful daily farm program “The Big Show”. He will provide an outlook on the markets, the economy, exports and how they will impact your dairy business.
It’s always valuable to hear other producers’ profit formula, and one producer panel at the Annual Business Conference will feature three producers from across the U.S. They will talk openly about the biggest mistakes and the best business moves that they have made. The most intriguing part of this roundtable will undoubtedly be their perspectives of what is next for their businesses and the industry.
The panel includes:
- Jim Docheff Jr., Diamond D Dairy in Longmont, Colo., is the fourth generation on his family dairy operation that consists of 600 milk cows and an on-farm milk bottling and yogurt plant.
- Steve Maddox, managing partner at Maddox Dairy, Ltd, near Riverdale, Calif., hails from one of California’s most innovative dairies and one of the nation’s most well-known registered Holstein herds.
- Dwight Hunt, Green Meadows Farm, Elsie, Mich., shares what the 3,000-cow dairy sees as the great challenges and opportunities for this diversified operation.
Register for the Annual Business Conference at: www.pdpw.org or call (800) 947-7379. PDPW educational programs are open to anyone involved with the dairy industry.
