This weekend 25 high school seniors bound for college were inducted in the SAMMY — Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year — hall of farm located in Disney’s Wide World of Sports’ Milk House.

"The SAMMY award acknowledges teens who have worked hard both in the classroom and on the playing field and who make smart nutrition choices like drinking milk," said Kurt Graetzer, CEO of the Milk Mustache Campaign.

"This year's class of SAMMY award winners will join the 100 past winners in the SAMMY Hall Fame. SAMMY has awarded nearly $750,000 in SAMMY scholarships and the Hall of Fame is our way of recognizing these amazing student-athletes every day of the year."

A record 30,000 students applied for the honor. The top 25 were chosen by a sports celebrity panel of: Kurt Warner, Cal Ripken Jr., Marion Jones, Mat Hoffman, Mia Hamm, Pete Sampras and Tony Hawk.

Each winner will receive a $7,500 scholarship, a spot in a special milk mustache ad that will run in USA Today, Sports Illustrated and ESPN Magazine and induction to the SAMMY Hall of Fame.
