The National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (NDPRB) will award scholarships to undergraduate college students for the 2001-2002 school year.
The NDPRB, through Dairy Management, Inc., awards $1,500 scholarships annually to as many as 19 sophomore, junior and senior undergraduate students enrolled in dairy-related university programs. Majors can include: dairy science, ag journalism/communications, marketing, business, economics, nutrition, food science and ag education.
Scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, initiative and integrity.
The NDPRB also awards a $2,500 James H. Loper Jr. Memorial Scholarship to an outstanding scholarship recipient.
Students can apply for these scholarships at http://dairyinfo.com. Applications must include an official transcript of completed university credits and letter of recommendation from a faculty member. Applications are due by May 30.
