Activists are turning up the heat on California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to approve overtime pay for farm workers.

On Tuesday, activists assembled in the state Capitol building and knelt and prayed outside the governor’s office, according to the CapitolAlert blog in The Sacramento Bee.

Meanwhile, agricultural groups say the overtime requirement, mandated by Senate Bill 1121, would be devastating.

Schwarzenegger has about 11 more days to make a decision.
