In April we reported that a thief was on the loose in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois stealing top genetics from well-known registered Holstein breeders. Losses from the thefts were running in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Last week, bull semen valued at $2,700 was reported stolen from a dairy farm in Sheboygan Falls, Wis. According to the Sheboygan Press Dorene Hanke reported that 30 containers of bull semen had been stolen over a several-week period from a barn at her farm.

The theft remains under investigation.
