Six heifers wounded by a shotgun

A reward is being offered for the arrest of the people responsible for wounding six heifers in a central Kansas pasture with a shotgun.

The incident happened in mid-August at Klassen Dairy near Hillsboro, Kan.

One of the heifers was shot near its eye. Another was wounded in the neck. Three animals were taken to the Kansas State University School of Veterinary Medicine for treatment.
