Soy milk pushed for school lunch menus

It looks like the dairy industry already has a "food fight" on its hands when it comes to re-authorization of the Child Nutrition Act.

The soy-foods industry has started its push for soy milk. It wants the government to reimburse schools that decide to offer soy milk as an alternative to cow's milk. "This is one of our top legislative priorities this year," said Bev Paul, lobbyist for the American Soybean Association, in a recent article by the Associated Press.
