Phil Lempert, “Today” show food editor takes up milk in his latest column. In it he cites research from the “Changes in U.S. Milk Consumption/New Milk Products” study conducted by BuzzBack Market Research in conjunction with Dairy Management Inc., and Dairy Foods Magazine.
Some of the results he highlights include:
· Over 50 percent of respondents choose to drink milk for the calcium, protein, vitamin A, fat content, potassium and vitamin D contained in it.
· Over 50 percent of respondents say they drink milk because it tastes good.
· Of respondents age 55 and older, 78 percent drink milk because it tastes good.
