A container with $2,000 worth of prize bull semen has been recovered after allegedly being stolen near Hanford, Calif.

Two men have been arrested in the case. Investigators believe that Alejandra Cisneros and Ismael Cisneros, of Tulare, Calif., broke into the medical room of a dairy and stole the semen tank, which they may have intended to sell for profit, according to a story in the Hanford Sentinel.

The Sentinel reported that the Cisneros brothers were apparently “subjects of interest” prior to their arrest.

Rural-crimes investigators suggest installing video-camera surveillance systems and additional lighting to act as a deterrent against these types of incidents.
