Wisconsin dairy receives small business award

Van Der Geest Dairy — the largest dairy in the state of Wisconsin — was awarded the Manufacturing Small Business of the Year award by the Wausau/Marathon County Chamber of Commerce.

The dairy comprises 4,000 acres of rented and owned cropland, milks 3,000 cows, produces four tanker loads of milk each day, employs about 70 people and has an annual payroll of about   $1.5 million.
