Now there’s more evidence that three servings of dairy in a reduced-calorie diet helps you burn more fat and lose weight.

According to research published in the April issue of the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders, obese adults who included yogurt in a reduced-calorie diet lost more weight than those who ate little or no dairy.

Study participants who ate three servings of fat free yogurt daily lost 22 percent more weight and burned 61 percent more body fat than those who reduced calorie intake but consumed little or no dairy.

The study also found that obese adults who consumed yogurt minimized their loss of lean body mass while dieting.
