Taking advantage of social media opportunities, including Facebook and Twitter, helps a group of Generation “Yers” communicate about where and how food is produced.

A group of California university students have created their own revolution by launching an online conversation about agriculture production. “I Love Farmers…They Feed My Soul” has taken an edgy approach to talking about issues important to agriculture and has more than 7,000 fans on its Facebook page. In their own words the students say, “Few of our friends know how their food is produced. We think that is sad.

“We love farmers. They feed our soul. Together we are working to help our generation understand the importance of knowing where our food comes from and who produced it.”
