   Compared to last week:  Yearling heifers sold mostly steady on limited 
comparable sales.  Yearling steers were not well tested.  Steer and heifer 
calves sold unevenly steady on a light test.  Trade activity and demand were 
moderate.  Cold temperatures have settled into the area this week.  Slaughter 
cows and bulls were steady on limited sales.  Slaughter cows and bulls made up 4 
percent, 2 percent replacements and 94 percent feeders.  Feeder supply included 
38 percent steers and bulls, 62 percent heifers.  Near 62 percent of the run 
weighed over 600 lbs.
