Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/14/13
Receipts: 3,000 Last Week: 2,723 Last Year: 1,468
Compared to last week: Feeder and stocker cattle lightly tested so trend not
applicable however a lower undertone noted. Feeding cows sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower.
Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 4.00 lower in a light test. Slaughter bulls sold steady
in a light test. Demand moderate to good. Approximately, 8 percent feeder and
stocker cattle; 30 percent bred heifers; 8 percent feeding cows; 36 percent bred
cows; 10 percent slaughter cows with the balance pairs, slaughter bulls and misc.
cattle. In the feeder supply, steers made up 64 percent of the run; heifers 36
percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled 37 percent. All bred stock sold by
the head and pairs sold per pair, unless otherwise stated. All bred cows and heifers
represented to calve before May 15th, unless otherwise stated.
