Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:55 PM
Today's Reported Sales Volume: 21,000
Today's Estimate Sales Volume: 30,000
Trading was light in the Texas Panhandle and moderate in Kansas Wednesday
afternoon on moderate demand. Compared to last week, live sales were steady at 122.00. Few sales on a live basis have traded in Western Nebraska at 123.00,
but most producers continue to pass. Trading remains inactive in all other
areas.
Cattle slaughter for Wednesday was estimated at 113,000. Boxed beef values
were called higher on moderate demand and light to moderate offerings. Choice
closed up 2.29 at 185.76 and Select closed up 1.68 at 183.84 on 240 total
loads.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
