Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 2,000
On Thursday negotiated cash trade was mostly limited on light to moderate
demand in Iowa, with a few dressed sales traded from 195.00-196.00. Trading was
mostly inactive in all other feeding regions.
Thursday afternoon boxed beef cutout values weak to lower on light to
moderate demand and moderate offerings. Choice was .29 lower at 192.93 with
Select 1.17 lower at 173.13 on 194 loads. The hide and offal value from a
typical slaughter steer for today was estimated at 12.95 per cwt live, up
0.03 when compared to Wednesday's value. The estimated cattle slaughter for
Thursday 128,000. December CME Live Cattle Contracts were up .17 to close at
125.60.

more frequently during active trading periods.
