Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 4:00 PM

Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 3,000
On Monday trade was very light on light demand in Nebraska with a few early
sales at 127.00 and 205.00. Trade was mostly inactive in all other feeding
regions. Monday afternoon boxed beef cutout were values steady to weak on
moderate to fairly good demand and heavy offerings. Choice was down .43 at
193.55 with Select up .22 to close at 183.53 on 266 loads. The hide and offal
value from a typical slaughter steer for today was estimated at 13.62 per cwt
live, up 0.28 when compared to Tuesday's value. The estimated cattle slaughter
for Wednesday was reported at 123,000.
