Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:40 PM
Today's Voluntary Reported Sales Volume: none
On Tuesday negotiated cash trade was limited on light demand in all feeding
regions with a few early live sales at 123.00. Afternoon negotiated cash volumes
per Mandatory Price Reporting. 80 in the Texas Panhandle, 1,126 in Kansas, 2,685
in Nebraska, 2,486 in Colorado. Tuesday afternoon boxed beef cutout values were
steady to firm on moderate demand and offerings. Choice was up .73 at 183.45
with Select up .15 to close at 179.30 on 169 loads. The hide and offal value
from a typical slaughter steer for today was estimated at 13.53 per cwt live,
down -0.06 when compared to Monday's value. The estimated cattle slaughter for
Tuesday was reported at 121,000.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
