Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:10 pm

Today’s Reported Sales Volume:  11,000  
Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 20,000
  
   Trading is very limited in Kansas with a few sales steady with Thursday
at 123.00. Trading is light to moderate in Nebraska and Iowa on light to
moderate demand. Dressed sales in Nebraska are steady with the bulk of the
sales last week at mostly 194.00. In Iowa, a few live sales have traded at
122.50-123.00, with scattered dressed sales at 195.00.  
  On Thursday, the Texas Panhandle traded around 4,000 head, and Kansas traded
about 7,000 head, steady with last week at 123.00.  Nebraska traded almost
6,000 head Thursday at 194.00-195.00. Cattle slaughter for Friday was
estimated at 105,000, and 28,000 for Saturday, for a weekly total of 611,000.
Boxed Beef values Friday afternoon were called weak to lower on light to
moderate demand and moderate offerings. Choice closed down 1.16 at 192.69,
and Select was down .56 at 176.68 on 132 total loads.

and again on the National Daily Direct Slaughter Cattle Formula Purchases
Reports as net prices.

Included in this report are negotiated cash and negotiated grid prices
and volume collected from feedlots or their representatives cooperating
on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
