Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:05 pm

Today’s Reported Sales Volume:  12,000  
Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: 24,000 
  
  Trading is light to moderate in Nebraska Friday on good demand. Compared to
last week, dressed sales are 2.00 to 4.00 higher with sales ranging from 198.00-
200.00, with limited live trade at 126.00. Dressed sales in Kansas have also
traded at 200.00. Trading has been light in Iowa with live sales ranging from
125.00-126.00, and dressed sales from 198.00-200.00.  Trading remains inactive
in all other areas. 
  Friday cattle slaughter was estimated at 112,000, and 33,000 for Saturday for
a weekly total of 632,000. Boxed beef values were called lower on light demand
and light to moderate offerings. Choice closed down .97 at 192.63, and Select
closed down .90 at 176.15 on 147 total loads.

Reports as net prices.

Included in this report are negotiated cash and negotiated grid prices
and volume collected from feedlots or their representatives cooperating
on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and
more frequently during active trading periods.
