Cattle and Calves: 2343 Last Week: 3396 Year Ago: 2834
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers under 700 lbs 3.00-4.00
higher, over 700 lbs mostly 2.00 higher. Instances plainer and fleshy kinds of
feeder heifers 550-650 lbs 3.00-5.00 lower. Quality on receipts was mostly
attractive with a few plain. Body condition on receipts ranged from mostly
moderate to a few fleshy. Slaughter cows and bulls 3.00-4.00 higher. Trade
active. Demand mostly good on all weight and quality categories. Bulk supply
Medium and Large 1-2 350-850 lb feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows made
up 15 percent, slaughter bulls 1 percent, replacement cows 0 percent, and
feeders 84 percent. The feeder supply included 58 percent steers and 42 percent
heifers. Near 41 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

199.00; 400-450 lbs 178.00-186.00, few 400-418 lbs thin 189.00-196.00; 450-500
