Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/14/2012
Receipts: 7684 Last Week: 5104 Year Ago: 7982
Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Feeder
heifers traded 1.00 to 3.00 higher. A heavy supply of reputation and
weaned steer and heifer calves were on offer this week for the annual Red
Angus program feeder calf sale. Demand good to very good for calves
weaned longer than 60 days with multipule rounds of vaccinations.
Un-weaned and bawling calves sold with very light to light demand. Cool
temperatures and lack of rain continue across the area. Supply included
62 percent over 600 lbs; 38 percent heifers.
