Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/16/2013
 
Receipts:  5567    Last Week:  8670    Year Ago:  7625
 
Compared to the last week:  Feeder steers and heifers 3.00 to 5.00 
lower.  Steer calves sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower, with exception of 
plainer type cattle trending sharply lower.  Heifer calves under 
450 lbs traded steady to 3.00 higher and heifer calves over 450 lbs 
sold 3.00 to 5.00 lower.  Demand still good to very good despite 
recent declines on the CME in both live and feeder cattle boards. 
Quality was moderate to attractive.  Supply included 74 percent 
over 600 lbs; 39 percent heifers.
