Florida Cattle Auctions  
Florida livestock auctions that were held Tuesday May 08, 2012

Tuesday's receipts at Lakeland (581), Madison (322), Okeechobee (766), and Webster 
(584) totaled 2,253, compared to 2,331 last week, and 3,023 a year ago.  According 
to the Federal-State Livestock Market News Service, compared to one week ago, 
slaughter cows and bulls unevenly steady, feeder steers steady to 3.00 higher, heifers 
1.00 to 3.00 higher, replacement cows mostly steady.

Slaughter cows 9 percent, slaughter bulls 2 percent and feeders 89 percent.  In the 
feeder supply steers made up approximately 50 percent of the run, heifers 45 
percent, and replacement cows 5 percent. Steers and heifers over 600 lbs made up about 
3 percent.
