Cattle Receipts: 781 Last week: 747 Last year: 868
Compared to last week: Slaughter cows 2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls 2.00
lower. Feeder steers uneven, mostly 2.00-4.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 450
lbs 5.00-7.00 higher, over 450 lbs 1.00-2.00 lower.
Supply included 410 feeder calves; 245 feeder yearlings; 44 replacement
cows; 76 slaughter cows; 6 slaughter bulls; and 0 replacement bulls. Feeder
supply consisted of about 40 percent English breed and English crosses; 30
percent Exotic breed and Exotic crosses; 30 percent Brahma and Brahma crosses;
and 0 percent Holsteins and other dairy breeds. Feeder supply about 55 percent
steers and bulls with 45 percent heifers. Prices follow with weighted average
price in parenthesis.
