Georgia Cattle Auctions Daily Summary

   Cattle auctions at Ashburn (1250), Athens (689), Donalsonville (678), 
Jackson (406), Moultrie (375), and Washington (285). Receipts Wednesday 
3,683 week ago 3,200 and year ago 3,972. Compared to one week earlier, 
slaughter cows and bulls steady to 1.00 higher, feeder steers 2.00 to 3.00 higher, 
heifers unevenly steady to 2.00 lower, steer calves and heifer calves unevenly 
steady, replacement cows mostly steady to 3.00 higher.

Slaughter cows 15 percent, slaughter bulls 2 percent and feeders 83 percent. 
In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 50 percent of the run, 
heifers 39 percent and replacement cows 11 percent, steers and heifers over
600 lbs totaled around 19 percent.
