Georgia Cattle Auctions Daily Summary
Georgia Cattle Auctions that were held Monday Jan 28, 2013

   Cattle auctions at Blackshear (87), Carroll Co. (678), Eastanollee 
(280), Fitzgerald (400), Swainsboro (262) and Thomaston (52). Receipts 
Monday 1,759 week ago 1,903 and year ago 2,245. Compared to one week
earlier, slaughter cows and bulls steady to 3.00 higher, feeder steers 
and heifers steady to 3.00 higher, steer calves steady to 3.00 higher,
heifer calves mostly steady to 2.00 higher, replacement cows steady.

Slaughter cows 12 percent, slaughter bulls 2 percent and feeders 86 
percent. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 53 percent 
of the run, heifers 38 percent and replacement cows 9 percent, steers 
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 19 percent.
