Georgia Cattle Auctions Daily Summary
Georgia Cattle Auctions Held Tuesday Jan 29, 2013.

Cattle auctions at Dixie (861) Franklin Co. (956), Lanier (360), 
Pulaski Co (410) and Thomas Co (336). Receipts Tuesday 2,923 week ago 
3,563 and year ago 3,704. Compared to last week, slaughter cows steady
to 3.00 higher, bulls steady to 2.00 higher, feeder steers steady to 3.00  
higher, heifers steady to 2.00 higher, steer calves 1.00 to 4.00 higher,
heifer calves unevenly steady to 2.00 higher, replacement cows mostly
steady.
 
Slaughter cows 16 percent, slaughter bulls 4 percent and feeders 80 
percent. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 50 percent 
of the run, heifers 36 percent and replacement cows 14 percent, steers 
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 21 percent.
