Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 03/13/2013
 
Receipts:  3700    Last Week:  2940    Year Ago:  2390
 
   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold unevenly steady. Demand 
was mostly moderate to good from the normal slate of buyers and most 
stayed to the end of the sale. Buyers were somewhat selective on flesh. 
However, if the quality was good the flesh didn’t matter. Steers were 33 
percent of the run, 66 percent heifers and balance on bull calves. Near 
80 percent weighed over 600 lbs. Next week Special Feeder Sale.
