Cow and Bull Auction 3/13/13
Receipts: 784 Last Week: 892 Last Year: 857
Compared to last Wednesday, fat breaking slaughter cows sold 3.00 lower
while boning and lean cows sold steady and slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00
lower. Packer buyers showed little interest in buying additional fat as
reflected in the breaking cow prices. There was a light offering of bred
cows and a very light offering of cow/calf pairs. Supply and demand were
moderate for slaughter classes.
