SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (750), WINONA 
(220), PHILADELPHIA (451), BROOKHAVEN (316), and MIZE (155) on 
TUESDAY, May 1, 2012

Receipts:  1,892         Last Week:  2,229       Last Year:  1,767   

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers sold 4.00 to 5.00 lower and heifers sold 2.00 to 4.00 lower.  
The supply included 16 percent slaughter cows and 9 percent pairs/replacements. 
The feeder supply included 50 percent steers and 50 percent heifers, 
with an estimated 17 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
