SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (900), WINONA 
(161), PHILADELPHIA (333), BROOKHAVEN (241), and MIZE (236) on 
TUESDAY, May 8, 2012

Receipts:  1,871         Last Week:  1,892       Last Year:  2,468   

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher.  
The supply included 15 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent pairs/replacements. 
The feeder supply included 52 percent steers and 48 percent heifers, 
with an estimated 12 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
