SUMMARY OF 6 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (885), 
FOREST (899), MERIDIAN (185), MACON (356), HOUSTON (270) AND 
WEST POINT (264) ON December 10, 2012.

Receipts:  2,859        Last Week:     3,640      Last Year:  5,571

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold 1.00 to 5.00 higher and heifers 
sold 1.00 to 5.00 lower.  
The supply included 11 percent slaughter cows and 9 percent pairs/replacements.  
The feeder supply included 57 percent steers and 43 percent heifers, 
with an estimated 12 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
