SUMMARY OF 5 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN TYLERTOWN (888), 
WINONA (216), PHILADELPHIA (372), BROOKHAVEN (243), and MIZE (198) on 
TUESDAY, January 29, 2013

Receipts:     1,917          Last Week:    2,141        Last Year:  2,011   

   Compared to last Tuesday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher 
and bulls sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers 
sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. The supply included 13 percent slaughter cows 
and 10 percent pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 52 percent 
steers and 48 percent heifers, with an estimated 8 percent of the feeder 
supply weighing over 600 lbs.
