SUMMARY OF 6 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (695), 
FOREST (540), MERIDIAN (107), MACON (317), HOUSTON (202) AND 
WEST POINT (461) ON March 4, 2013.

Receipts:  2,322        Last Week:     2,131      Last Year:  2,930

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 6.00 higher 
and bulls sold steady. Feeder steers sold 3.00 to 6.00 higher 
and heifers sold steady. The supply included 13 percent 
slaughter cows and 11 percent pairs/replacements.  
The feeder supply included 54 percent steers and 46 percent heifers, 
with an estimated 7 percent of the feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
