Compared with last week: Steers 700-900 lbs steady to weak compared with last
weeks major advance; 900-1050 lbs firm to 2.00 higher; Heifers 600-950 lbs 2.00-
4.00 higher, bulk of the trade 3.00 higher compared with last weeks limited
supply; Steers 700 lbs and under also heifers 600 lbs and under not enough for
an accurate market test, however an extremely higher undertone noted on cattle
suited for grazing. Trade active, demand very good. Receipts: 95 percent 600 lbs
and over, 3 percent 600 lbs and under, and 2 percent slaughter cows and bulls.
Feeder supply 66 percent steers and 34 percent heifers.
