Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers mostly 5.00-6.00 higher except
600-700 lb steers, steady. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00 lower. Trade active, demand
good to very good on feeders. Bulk of supply medium and large 1-2 300-700 lb feeder
steers and heifers. Slaughter cows 16 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2
percent, bred cows 5 percent, pairs less than 1 percent, feeders 77 percent. In the
feeder supply, steers made up approximately 43 percent; feeder bulls 3 percent;
heifers 54 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs total 23 percent.
