Roswell Livestock Auction Summary - Roswell, NM - Monday - 1/21/13

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 600 lbs 6.00 higher, no comparison over 
600 lbs. No accurate comparison on heifers due to limited comparable sales. Slaughter 
cows 2.00-3.00 lower. Bulls steady to 3.00 lower.  Trade active, demand moderate to 
good. Bulk of supply medium and large 1-2 300-700 lb feeder steers and heifers. 
Slaughter cows 25 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, bred cows 9 
percent, pairs less than 1 percent, feeders 64 percent. In the feeder supply, steers 
made up approximately 43 percent; feeder bulls 3 percent; heifers 54 percent; steers 
and heifers over 600 lbs total 23 percent.

   Steers: Medium and Large 1: Few 310-320 lbs 216.00-221.00; few 400-450 lbs 192.00-
201.00; few 450-500 lbs 193.00-195.00; few 530-573 lbs 170.00-172.00; few 600-700 lbs
