Compared to last week: Feeder steers mostly 2.00-3.00 higher. Heifers 300-500 lbs
4.00-5.00 higher, over 500 lbs steady to 1.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady on
limited receipts. No comparison on bulls due to limited receipts. Trade active,
demand moderate to good. Bulk of supply medium and large 1-2 300-700 lb feeder steers
and heifers. Slaughter cows 13 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls less than 1
percent, bred cows 7 percent, pairs less than 1 percent, feeders 79 percent. In the
feeder supply, steers made up approximately 50 percent; feeder bulls 2 percent;
heifers 48 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs total 22 percent.
