Cattle Auction Report for 01/21/2013

Receipts:  1112    Week Ago:  471    Year Ago:  796

   Compared to last week’s lighter test, steers sold 3.00 to 4.00 lower;
heifers 300 to 600 lbs sold 3.00 to 8.00 lower.  Supply moderate.  Demand
moderate to good.  Cows and bulls were 20 percent of receipts.  In the
feeder supply, steers and bulls were 56 percent of the run; heifers
44 percent.  Near 36 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.  Slaughter
cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and large 1  325-400 lbs 196.00-206.00, 400-
500 lbs 172.00-189.00; 500-600 lbs 159.00-172.50; 600-700 lbs 145.25-154.50;
740-800 lbs 134.00-138.00; pkg 805 lbs 134.00.  Medium and Large 1-2  350-
400 lbs 190.00-196.00; 400-500 lbs 170.00-181.50; 500-600 lbs 153.00-172.00;
600-700 lbs 142.00-152.00; pkg 707 lbs 139.50.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  300-350 lbs 162.00-164.00; 400-

with 150-200 lb calves, 1550.00 per pair.
