Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Friday

Thus far for Friday in the Southern Plains trading was mostly inactive on very light 
demand. Not enough sales for an adequate market trend. Last established market was 
Thursday with live sales at 124.00, with a few in Kansas at 124.50.  In Nebraska 
trading was limited on light demand.  Live and dressed sales sold steady compared to 
the last reported market on Thursday. On a light test lives sales sold from 122.00-
124.00 and dressed sales 190.00 with a few at 192.00.  In Colorado trading was at a 
standstill.  On Thursday the last reported market live sales sold at 124.00.  In the 
Western Cornbelt trading was limited on light demand. Not enough sales for an 
adequate market trend.  The last established market was Thursday with live sales from 
120.00-123.00 and dressed sales at 190.00.
