Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Thursday

Thus far on Thursday, trading in the Texas Panhandle was mostly inactive on light 
demand.  Few early live sales on Tuesday traded at 128.00. Trading was limited on 
light demand in Kansas with a large string selling early Thursday at 201.00 
dressed. The last live market was last Friday with sales at 128.00.  In 
Nebraska, trading was light on light demand with a few dressed sales trading steady 
to weak from 204.00-205.00.   The last fully established market was on Friday with
live sales from 128.00 to 128.50 and dressed sales at 205.00.  In Colorado, trading
was moderate on moderate demand.  Compared to last week, a few live sales sold 3.00
to 4.50 lower from 125.00 to 125.50. When compared to Wednesday, dressed sales sold
1.00 to 1.50 lower from 203.50 to 204.00.  In the Western Cornbelt, trading was
mostly inactive.  Not enough sales for an adequate market trend.  The last
established market was last Friday, with live sale trading from 127.00 to 129.00.
Dressed sales sold at 205.00.
