Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Wednesday
Thus far on Wednesday, negotiated cash trade in the Southern Plains has been light on
light to moderate demand. In the Texas Panhandle, compared to last week live sales
sold 3.00 lower at 122.00. In Kansas, compared to last week live sales sold 1.00 to
3.00 lower at 122.00. In Nebraska, trading has been light on light demand, with a
few early sales at 122.00. In Colorado, trading is moderate on moderate demand.
Compared to last week, live sales sold mostly 1.00 lower at 122.00, with a few up to
122.50. In the Western Cornbelt, trading was mostly inactive. Not enough sales for
an adequate market trend. The last established market was last week with live sales
selling at 122.00 on a light test. Dressed sales sold from 195.00 to 198.00 on a
light test.
