Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Friday

******Due to the upcoming Presidents Holiday, LMR offices will be closed, and no
reports will be released on Monday, February 18, 2013, reports will resume on
February 19, 2013. ******

Thus far for Friday trading in the Southern and Northern Plains has been limited with 
light demand. Not enough sales to fully establish a market trend. Thursday was the 
last reported market in these regions with live sales at 123.00 and in Nebraska 
dressed sales sold at 196.00. In the Western Cornbelt for Friday trading has been 
limited on light to moderate demand. A few live and dressed sales sold at 123.00 and 
196.00, respectively. The last fully establish market was on Thursday with live 
ranging from 119.00 to 123.00 and the bulk of dressed sales at 196.00.
