Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 5/4/2012
On Friday in the Texas Panhandle trading and demand were moderate. Compared to
last week live sales sold 1.00 higher at 120.00. In Kansas and Nebraska trading
was moderate to active with moderate to good demand. Compared to prior week live
sales in Kansas sold steady at 120.00. In Nebraska live sales sold 1.00 higher
from 121.00 to 123.00. Dressed sales sold steady at 194.00 with a few up to
195.00. Friday in Colorado trading was limited on moderate demand. Compared to
last week on a light test live sales sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher from 121.00 to 123.00.
In the Western Cornbelt for Friday trading and demand were moderate. Compared to
last week live sales sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher from 121.00 to 123.00. Dressed sales
sold unevenly steady from 192.00 to 195.00.
